Artist's Description
An abandoned prairie farm in central Alberta, Canada. This was the home of my Mother's childhood friend, just a few miles down the road from my Mother's home, and when she was a young girl, over 70 years ago, she would walk down the road to play with her friend.
Photo was taken on a cool, overcast autumn day. This area has suffered a prolonged drought and the dryness and lack of color adds to the stark loneliness of the picture.
About Jim Sauchyn
A self taught Albertan photographer, I enjoy the outdoors and photographing Alberta's natural landscapes. Alberta has much to offer for the artist - mountains, boreal forest, lakes and rivers, aspen parkland and prairie, and I love to try and capture the essence of these in my photographs. Please note that the FAA watermark will not appear on the shipped products.

Once again, this could be Kansas.Very similar country. I'll bet it's hard for your Mom to see this as it is now. It sure would be for me. You've done a great job with this, and your notes make it all the better. f/v
