This old weathered horse bridle was used on draft horses on my grandfather's farm in central Alberta, Canada.. The facepiece or facedrop in the center was for decorative purposes only, but the blinders to the sides served to obscure the vision of skittish horses so they couldn't see what was behind them. This bridle is decades old and years of working outdoors have given it great character. I used Hdr software to enhance the detail.
A self taught Albertan photographer, I enjoy the outdoors and photographing Alberta's natural landscapes. Alberta has much to offer for the artist - mountains, boreal forest, lakes and rivers, aspen parkland and prairie, and I love to try and capture the essence of these in my photographs.
