Description
A highbush cranberry in early autumn in Edmonton,Alberta,Canada. It's vibrant red autumn hues contrast against the green of the forest. The highbush cranberry is not a true cranberry but is so named because the berries are similar in taste and appearance to real cranberries. The fruit is edible and can be made into jelly. Ukrainians in western Canada call this plant Kalyna.
